Ingredients for 2 small baguettes:
flour (plain or bread) 300g (2 cups-pressed)
water 200g(210ml) (1cup)room temperature
yeast 1/4 tsp
salt 1tsp
sugar 2tsp
bake 250°C for 15-20 mins with steam and water brush which will make the crust crispy.
turn the baguettes in between for even baking.
notes:
1. you can put ice cubes on hot bowl instead of hot water to create steam.
2.fermentation time depends on your room temperature.
3.If you live in a hot weather, the dough will proof quickly.once the dough proofs in room temperature you can keep it in the refrigerator. bring to a room temperature and bake the next day.
4. kneading is not required, It is a no-knead bread recipe.
5. After a few hours, the baguette crust will not be crispy anymore.
6. If you want it to be crispy again, brush water on it and bake for 5-10 mins.you will get crispy baguette again.
